Kumo Jiu Jitsu is a unique style of Jiu Jitsu, as developed by Hanshi Darrell LaFrance. It is patterned after the fighting style of the spider (Kumo means "spider" in Japanese) and teaches all aspects of self defence; controlling your opponent with little energy or force, throwing and off-balancing techniques, pressure points, ground defence as well as kicking and punching.
The style incorporates aspects of Karate, Aikido, Drunken Kung Fu, Judo and Jiu Jitsu and integrates all this with the ground techniques of grappling which are part and parcel of the ancient forms of Jiu Jitsu.
